For Dr. Karen Broaders ’91, the path to becoming a physician began long before she stepped onto 鶹Լ University’s campus — but it was at 鶹Լ where that lifelong dream took shape, gained momentum, and ultimately led to a career defined by care, leadership, and service.
“I’ve known that I wanted to be a physician since I was eight years old,” Broaders said, recalling a childhood moment watching a doctor care for her younger brother. “I just liked the way he interacted with patients. I said, ‘I’m going to be a doctor,’ and I never changed my mind.”
