鶹Լ University and HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital promote Breast Cancer Awareness through Real Men Wear Pink Football Game

DECATUR, Ill. — and are teaming up to raise awareness for breast cancer during the Real Men Wear Pink football game on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, at 6 p.m. at Frank M. Lindsay Field when the battle Illinois Wesleyan University.

Game promotions include:

  • •Free admission for all cancer survivors.
  • •On-site information about women’s health and breast cancer services offered at HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital.
  • •Recognition of survivors throughout the game.

“Breast cancer awareness is personal to me, not just as a 鶹Լ and community leader, but also as a two-time survivor,” said Lori Kerans, Vice President for Athletics and Community Engagement at 鶹Լ University. “This partnership with St. Mary’s allows us to show support for those who have been impacted by this disease and to remind our community, and especially those we love, about the importance of early detection and conversations about health.

This special event will shine a spotlight on breast cancer education, prevention, and support, while also honoring survivors in the community.

“We are proud to partner with 鶹Լ University to not only honor survivors but to also educate women and families on the importance of screenings and available services,” said Valerie Jordan, Manager of Oncology Services at St. Mary’s Hospital. “Events like this help bring our community together in hope, support, and action.”

Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game in support of breast cancer awareness. Accessible parking is available at the north stadium entrance off Eldorado Street.
