DECATUR, Ill. – and are proud to announce a new partnership in which ICC graduates will be automatically accepted and be able to complete their 鶹Լ bachelor’s degree in two years with full-time enrollment. will strengthen the transfer process and provide a seamless transfer experience for students. This agreement is effective beginning the 2025-26 academic year.
ICC students who wish to transfer to 鶹Լ will be provided with a plan of study, as well as automatic acceptance into a 鶹Լ baccalaureate degree program upon successful completion of an Associate in Arts (AA), Associate in Science (AS), Associate in Fine Arts (AFA), Associate in Engineering Science (AES) or Associate in Applied Science (AAS) with a 2.0 cumulative GPA.

“This partnership with Illinois Central College creates a straightforward and accessible route for students to continue their education at 鶹Լ University,” 鶹Լ University Provost Mary Black said. “By streamlining the often-complicated transfer process, ICC students can transition smoothly while also taking advantage of 鶹Լ’s distinctive opportunities, such as Performance Learning and exceptional graduate programs.”
Upon successful completion of an AA or AS degree and the appropriate relevant coursework from ICC, transfer students with a 2.0 cumulative GPA can complete the following programs in two years (four semesters) at 鶹Լ:
Accounting, Art, Agribusiness, Applied Statistics, Arts Technology, Art Therapy, Arts Administration, Athletic Training (3+2), Biochemistry, Biology, Business Communication, Chemistry, Communication, Computer Science, Criminal Justice, Cybersecurity (can be completed after two years after an AAS), Digital Marketing, Elementary Education, Engineering Science (can be completed after two years after an AES), English Education, English Studies, English Writing, Environmental Studies, Exercise Science, Finance, Graphic Design, History, Management, Management Info Systems, Mathematics, Multimedia Communication, Music (requires audition), Music Business, Nursing (requires three semesters at ICC and five semesters at 鶹Լ) Organizational Leadership (can be completed after two years after specific AAS degree, visit millikin.edu/ICC for more details), Physical Education, Physics, Political Science, Sociology, Sport & Recreation Management, and Theatre.

ICC students transferring with a completed AA, AS, AFA, or AES degree will have satisfied 100% of their University Studies requirements and can complete their 鶹Լ bachelor’s degree in two years, provided they are enrolled full-time (12-18 credits per semester).
Students who have successfully met the requirements of the ICC Honors Program are guaranteed automatic acceptance into the James 鶹Լ Honors Scholars Program upon application.
Students of Illinois Central College, located in Peoria, can also take advantage of the and , which began in the fall of 2024. The 鶹Լ Tuition Promise provides a reduced tuition rate of $26,000 for all full-time traditional undergraduate students. Students can then anticipate an annual inflationary tuition rate increase of less than 4% (at $1,000) each year in the future.

The Big Blue Pledge: Illinois Free Tuition Program represents an investment in Illinois students who may lack the financial options necessary to pursue a private college education and will cover 100% of their undergraduate tuition with 鶹Լ grants and scholarships, filling the gap after available state and federal grants.
To qualify for the Big Blue Pledge, students must:
- submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- be an Illinois resident (as determined by the FAFSA);
- be eligible for a Federal Pell Grant; and
- be enrolled full-time (minimum of 12 credit hours per semester) as a traditional undergraduate student at 鶹Լ.
